What Is A Crossbike?
CrossWALKS help people cross the street more safely.
Something similar for bike riders called a crossBIKE. A crossbike helps bike riders stay safely away from people in the crosswalk.
A crossbike shows a clear path for bike riders to go through an intersection. A crossbike reminds car drivers to expect to see people on bikes. If you are riding though one, be sure to bike in the same direction as car driver traffic.
Middlefield/Embarcadero is the only Palo Alto intersection that has a official crossbike.
